Following months of dialogue, proposal reviews, and collaborative planning, the National Youth Authority has confirmed their participation in the high-level delegation trip to Cologne, Germany, a landmark step in advancing the Ghana–Germany Youth Football Exchange.

As Ghana's foremost youth development institution, NYA brings unmatched national reach and government credibility to the initiative. Their involvement elevates the program to a truly national effort, backed at the highest levels of Ghana's youth ecosystem.

The Meeting

When We Sat Down
With NYA

Our team met with the leadership of the National Youth Authority to present the Ghana–Germany Football Exchange proposal, align on strategy, and confirm NYA's participation in the high-level delegation trip to Cologne.

The meeting covered program structure, youth selection frameworks, and the roadmap for the inaugural delegation. What followed was a unanimous commitment from NYA to join the trip and advance this initiative together.

Schools & Training Grounds We Visited

Before the first cohort departs, the Pathfinders Global team hit the ground, visiting football schools and training facilities across Ghana to introduce the program, meet coaches, and connect directly with young players.

From Accra
To Cologne

A curated diplomatic visit is underway, bringing key Ghanaian stakeholders including NYA leadership, Ministry officials, and Pathfinders Global to Cologne, Germany, to finalise arrangements for the inaugural youth exchange program.

  • Visit 1. FC Köln training facilities and meet coaching staff
  • Engage with the Cologne Tourist Board on sustainable tourism collaboration
  • Observe UEFA-standard youth development sessions firsthand
  • Meet German youth development managers and club executives
  • Finalise operational arrangements for the first cohort
  • Strengthen Ghana–NRW government-to-government relations
  • Attend cultural and city tours across Cologne

Delegation trip departs April 25, 2026. The first cohort of young athletes follows in September 2026. Registration is now open for athletes aged 10–16.
