Beach Cleanup at Labadi Beach to Mark Climate Action Day.
On October 26, 2024, we launched Sustain the Shore with our maiden cleanup activity at Labadi Beach to celebrate the International Day of Climate Action. This marked the beginning of a long-term effort to protect Ghana's coastlines through community action and sustainable tourism.
We tackle plastic pollution, coastal erosion, and overfishing through hands-on cleanups, community education, and research-backed conservation projects. By partnering with local leaders and tourists, we’re creating a blueprint for marine protection that benefits wildlife and livelihoods.
This first cleanup sets the foundation for all future Sustain the Shore activities across Ghana and beyond.

The “Sustain the Shore” launch at Labadi Beach was made possible through impactful collaborations with a strong lineup of partners and sponsors. Organizations such as Promasidor, Blackstone Projects and Development, SESA Recycling, McKingtorch Africa, Divaloper, GrandHedge International, and GreenAgro Foundation provided vital support, helping us turn our vision into action.
Together, we mobilized volunteers, raised awareness about marine pollution, and ensured that all recyclable waste, especially plastics, was properly sorted and processed. Companies like SESA Recycling and McKingtorch Africa played key roles in the recycling operations, reinforcing the importance of circular solutions in environmental conservation.
