Pathfinders' Eco-Restore Project
Illegal mining, or galamsey, has left many Ghanaian communities grappling with environmental degradation. Through our Eco-Restore project, Pathfinders Global is committed to aiding these communities by restoring degraded landscapes and empowering locals with sustainable solutions. This partnership with Tree Tag amplifies our ongoing efforts to combat deforestation and rebuild ecosystems.
Last year, Pathfinders joined the Forestry Commission to plant trees on World Environment Day as part of the Green Ghana initiative. This year, with Tree Tag's expertise, we aim to scale our efforts by planting trees in schools, communities, and other social service institutions while engaging students and local communities in sustainability projects. Tree Tag's advanced features, such as digital tagging and GPS-enabled tracking, ensure that every tree planted is monitored for growth and health, providing accountability and transparency.
